Last week I wrote to Wirral Council asking for urgent action to repair Birkenhead’s broken street lighting. A number of residents had written to me to say they had been left in the dark due to the lights on their street being out of action. The St James’ Centre was packed full for a residents meeting last Friday. Councillor George Davies and I had invited Magenta to address residents’ concerns about the condition of the Crossways Estate. Magenta deserves credit for the way it has responded.
